Competing in the Southern Professional Hockey League since 2016, Evansville Thunderbolts are a minor league ice hockey team that plays out of Evansville, Indiana. Owned by VW Sports, the team calls the iconic Ford Center its home, playing all their home games of the season there. Unfortunately, they were unable to qualify for the 2016-17 playoffs, finishing tenth.
