Aberdeen FC is a football club from Aberdeen, Scotland that was founded in 1903. It competes in the Scottish Premiership and plays its home games at the Pittodrie Stadium. The club is a strong force in the league and claim to be the only Scottish side to clinch two European trophies which are the European Cup Winners' Cup and the European Super Cup. The club reached its pinnacle in the 80s under Sir Alex Ferguson where it won three Scottish League titles and was the last Scottish club apart from the Old Firm to do so. The club has also won the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup. Notable players to have represented “the Dons” are Russell Anderson, Alex McLeish and Neil Simpson.
