The Cleveland Guardians are a Major League Baseball team and a member of the American League Central Division. One of the eight American League charter franchises, the Guardians began competing in 1901. Their only real rival is the Cincinnati Reds, mostly due to geographical proximity. Despite being in different leagues, the Guardians and Reds play six times a year. Some of the great Guardians players in franchise history include Bob Feller, Tris Speaker, and Bob Lemon.
