Undoubtedly one of the most respected living saxophonists, Maceo Parker has had a storied career helping redefine how brass instruments are used in the confines of modern music. Originally getting his start playing with James Brown's band in the mid 60s, Parker then went onto spend time with the legendary funk outfit Parliament Funkadelic and lead the charge for horn players voicing their strength as instrumentalists. More recently, Parker has been playing with Prince - even making appearances in 2007 at the Purple One's 21-night residency at the O2 arena in London.
