Owen Weaver

Owen Weaver is a percussionist from Bemidji, Minnesota whose fascinating and innovative ways of working with percussion has many musicians following his every move. Weaver's arrangements and co-arrangements of songs for percussion and voice have opened up a whole new way of considering the music, and the arrangements not only work, but are often a hit with audiences despite their somewhat avant-garde sound. Although his fame as a musician on the international stage is still in its formative stages, many are already seeing Weaver's percussion and a capella performance of Steppenwolf's 1967 hit, "Born To Be Wild," as a revelatory showcase of his talent.
