The Minneapolis-based experimental outfit, Marijuana Deathsquads creates a chaotic, improvisational hybrid of rock and electronic music. Two drummers, two keyboards, percussion, live sound manipulators and slew of other bells and whistles all contribute to the band's intense live performances. With almost punk rock style vocals set atop Krautrock grooves, electronic loops and slick, hypnotic drumming, Marijuana Deathsquads' music is loud and often likely often too dissonant for some listeners to endure. But open-minded experimental music fans will appreciate the way the band makes its "anything goes" approach work so successfully.
