We want YOU to join the clowntinental army with THE RED NOSE OF COURAGE: two acts of action-packed, nonstop clown as our brave boys dodge the draft, try to suck each other off, and face the horrors of the front! When the motherland comes calling and draft papers arrive in the office, it’s up to plucky business clown Gingham to keep her husband and his nemesis on the home front and available for hookups. Will she get all clowns dishonorably discharged, or will Argyle’s patriotism and Wensley’s desire for those sweet veteran discounts at Dunkin Donuts leave her a widow? War is heck!Introducing Atlanta treasures Beau Brown on puppets and Mo Downs on the booth, Clown Corp is thrilled to be presenting this piece for a broader Atlanta audience.Who We Are:Celebrating its second birthday this year, Clown Corp LLC is a decades-old corporation specializing in business, clowns, and business clowns. Clown Corp’s founding and only members are Julia Byrne, Nathan Ray, Tommy Sullivan-Lovett, and Jake Krakovsky, all alumni of Emory University and all on a perpetual quest together to create a theater practice that glorifies sex, violence, and laughter.Their debut show BUSINESS DOING PLEASURE WITH YOU was awarded Audience Choice in Atlanta Fringe’s 2022 festival, and they continued partnering with Fringe in 2023 in the fundraising show "Five Fifths of Ghostbusters" with their opening section BUSTIN' HARD OR HARDLY BUSTIN'. Originally workshopped at the Schwartz Theater lab, this project is the flagship production from Emory Theater Studies Department's Alumni Workshop series.CONTENT WARNING:This show is about war, American complicity in war narratives, and propaganda. Please approach with careful consideration. Alongside our usual sexual content and cartoon violence, this play will include depicitions of torture, gun violence, and violence towards civilians.
