As a founding member of the seminal hardcore punk band Husker Du, Bob Mould helped define a guitar sound that many subsequent six-string shredders have tried in vein to emulate. When Husker Du broke up in 1988, Mould sequestered himself in a farmhouse in Minnesota, quit drinking as well as drugs and started work on his first solo album. The material he produced was unlike most of the stuff he created with his previous band, but the new songs were just as poignant. Mould is still releasing original tunes and touring to this day and an opportunity to witness this legend perform in the flesh is not to be missed.
