Joanna Noëlle Blagden Levesque is a pop singer/songwriter and actress who is known mononymously as Jojo. After capturing the attention of producer Vincent Herbert as a contestant on American's Most Talented Kids in 2003, she got an early start at the age of 12 and quickly found her footing in the entertainment industry. She signed to Blackground Records and released her eponymous debut album in 2014. With lead single "Leave (Get Out)" devoured as a commercial success, the record set the tone for Jojo's 2006 follow-up record, The High Road. While her sophomore album was another critical and commercial darling, Jojo felt the growing pains of an evolving music industry as nearly 20 of her next songs were leaked online. Tied up in label and distribution technicalities, she kept herself busy with acting gigs and small mixtape releases. Finally freed of her contract with Blackground Records, she released a series of EPs in 2014 and 2015 with Atlantic Records and hit the touring circuit once more in 2016.
