The Grammy Award-winning group Riders in the Sky is a decades-spanning country music band from Nashville. Formed in 1977, the band started out as a trio of guitar, fiddle, bass and the harmony-rich lead vocals of its three members. Channeling classic folk and country styles such as Americana and Western swing, the group's traditional cowboy hats and matching studded shirts gave it a recognizable look to go along with its vintage sound. Later on, Riders in the Sky would expand, adding a fourth member on accordion. In addition to a slew of full-length records, including an LP devoted to the songs of Gene Autry, the band has recorded original songs for films, including "Woody's Roundup" for the Toy Story 2 soundtrack.
