In order to escape a fate of youthful boredom, four high school friends living in New England got together in 2001 to record the LP 365 Day Weekend under the name Ballyhoo! The record's party reggae vibe opened doors for the guys in the band to perform at countless house parties and, in the process, develop its sound to be more distinct from its inspirations. By the time Ballyhoo! had released its second album it has embarked on full tours with acts like 311 and Slightly Stoopid.
