Born and raised in The Bronx, Robert Klein is a singer/songwriter, stand-up comedian and actor who got his start in 1965 as part of Chicago's comedy troupe, The Second City. A decade later he would earn his first of several comedy specials on the newly minted network HBO in 1975, and went on to act on stage as well as in other television programs such as The New Twilight Zone. He released his first album of music in 1972, titled Child of the Fifties, followed by the politically driven Mind Over Matter, in 1974. On top of his stand-up work, his music and his hosting gigs, Klein also appeared in numerous films including One Fine Day, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Two Weeks Notice.
