Consisting of three high school friends, Mike Yannich, Jeff Schroeck and Joe Keller - who later took on the second name Erg, The Ergs! is a punk rock band from South Amboy, NJ. Formed in 2000, the trio's initial works were released on CDs. Although The Ergs! gives special emphasis to the punk rock genre, it has always aimed at producing music that goes beyond punk and delves into other genres. The band's first album Dorkrockcorkrod released in 2004 and was a commercial success. It went on to release Upstairs/Downstairs in 2006 and Hindsight Is 20/20 My Friend in 2008, both of which were very well received. The band went on a hiatus from 2018 to 2016. The band's return was warmly welcomed. The Ergs! have toured alongside the likes of Less Than Jake, The Loved Ones, Lifetime and The Bouncing Souls and have acquired a considerable fanbase.
