Ginuwine was one of the poster children of the hip-hop soul movement that emerged out of the 90s. His smooth voice combined with crisp studio production are responsible for giving his music a sultry quality. While suffering from severe depression after his father comitted suicide and his mother died of cancer in 2000, Ginuwine turned again to music, collaborating with other artists on their albums, releasing another album of his own and even starring in a couple films. Though many musicians try to imitate the Ginuwine sound, few - if any - succeed.
