With a well noted sound that's well rooted in 1970s rock, soul and funk, The Doobie Brothers have managed to be remembered as one of the premier acts of its generation. Active from 1970 to 1982 before reuniting in 1987, the band released its self-titled debut album in 1971 and has since released over a dozen studio albums. Though The Doobie Brothers has experienced a number of line-up changes over the years, the group still tours and has maintained a reputation for putting on an impressive live show despite the departure of vocalist Michael McDonald.
