Terry Reid got his first fame supporting the Stones on their 1966 American tour where Mickie Most and Peter Grant started to manage him. In 1969 Jimmy Page asked him to join the New Yardbirds on vocals (which quickly became Led Zeppelin) , Terry turned it down as he already had two new tours coming up with Cream and the Stones again, before he did though he introduced them to Robert Plant and John Bonham.
He has been covered by the Hollies, White Stripes, Rumer, Marianne Faithful, Cheap Trick, Joe Perry and had been signed to Atlantic Records. SInce then he has toured and played with Mick Taylor and Johnny Depp. Aretha Franklin called him one of the greatest British singers.
Terry will be accompanied by Chris Hillman on pedal steel.
This is a standing event at The Hare & Hounds (High Street, Kings Heath)
