Shed Seven is an alternative rock band from York, England, that emerged during the Britpop scene of the 1990s. While the outfit never saw the mainstream success achieved by bands like Oasis or Blur, Shed Seven had a breakthrough year in 1996 with the release of its sophomore LP, A Maximum High. As the Britpop wave died down into the 21st century, the band broke up in 2003 only to announce a greatest hits tour featuring all of its original members in 2007. After the overwhelming response to its reunion, Shed Seven decided to continue on with several more tours and new releases, including a EP of four reworked tracks off of A Maximum High in 2011.
