Formed in London by Norwegian-born Paul-Ronney Angel in 2003, The Urban Voodoo Machine has since grown into a 12-member collective. Blending raucous gypsy punk, Balkan horns and swampy blues with a carnivalesque stage presence, the group has become known for its over-the-top performances. While the band often performs by itself, it also is known to occasionally incorporate burlesque dancers, fire jugglers and other provocative figures into its live act. A favorite throughout the UK and Europe, the band tours and plays festivals constantly.
