The Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual celebration held in Charlotte, NC. It was first organized in 1947 in an attempt to draw shoppers to Uptown Charlotte and is one of the most iconic events in the city today. The parade - featuring balloons, floats and marching bands - starts at 9th Street, moves along Tryon Street and culminates at Stonewall Street.
