The mainstream breakthrough of emo music in the 2000s catalyzed the success of several indie/pop punk inspired band including the rock outfit The Early November. Formed in New Jersey in 1999, the band released its debut EP For All of This in 2002 and released ts first full-length effort The Room's Too Cold, in 2003. The Early November announced it would be going on an indefinite hiatus in 2007, when the emo wave was on the decline, due to the grueling recording process of its 2006 album The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path. It would be four years before the band reassembled and released its third studio album In Currents, in 2011.
