Bob Log III is a one-man band from Tuscon, Arizona known for his slide guitar style and spaceman appearance during live shows. Whether he is sporting a sports coat and trousers of a full bodied cannonball suit, Bob Log III never performs without his pilot helmet. Wired to a telephone receiver, his helmet is designed to give his vocals a distorted affect. After solid runs with the bands Mondo Guano and Doo Rag, Bob Log III began his solo career by slowly acquiring instruments such as a bass drum, a kick drum, a homemade foot cymbal and a drum machine. He has mastered the art of multitasking, often calling audience members to sit on his knees while he plays slide guitar and multiple drums with his feet. His playful music has walked the line between controversy and humor, particularly his song "Boob Scotch," during which he asks someone to stir his scotch with a boob, often inviting audience members on stage to do just that before lifting his helmet to swallow the drink down. From his first album, School Bus from 1998, to his 2009 effort My Shit is Perfect, Bob Log III is unapologetic and has formed a solid fan base with his dry humor and genuine rock and roll sound.
