Chris D'Elia is a comedian, actor and rapper who first earned mainstream attention as Alex Miller on the NBC's Whitney. After a short-lived stint as an acting student at NYU, he dropped out and pursued a career in stand-up in 2006. As he gained footing as a one-man show, performing on various Comedy Central and Showtime specials, he also got back into acting and landed his role on Whitney in 2011. D'Elia deepened his television repertoire on shows like Undateable, and even ventured into a rapping career with the satirical album Such Is Life, which he released under the moniker Chank Smith.
