Young Dubliners is a Celtic rock based in Los Angeles that uses tradition Irish instrumentation to create alternative rock music. The band was formed in Dublin in 1988 by Keith Roberts and Paul O'Toole, who blended aggressive guitar with mandolin and harmonica while trading off lead vocals. After assembling a full band and making a few changes to its lineup, Young Dubliners released its debut album Breathe in 1995. The band collected a following in the US during its two-year cross-counry tour, during which it played sold out shows in California, Colorodo and Utah. Young Dubliners steadily released albums into the 2000s, when it began making national television appearances on shows such as CBS Early Show in 2008.
