The Argentinian-born British-Irish singer/songwriter Chris de Burgh has been captivating audiences with his mixture of soft and classic rock since 1974. Though his first few albums throughout the 1970s, starting with his 1975 Far Beyond These Castle Walls, were poorly received in the UK and Ireland, de Burgh made his first impression on his home countries and in the US with his 1982 record, The Getaway. At the height of his career, he earned international acclaim for his 1986 album Into the Light, which featured his most widely known hit single and now iconic ballad, "The Lady In Red." Though de Brugh's success began to wane into the 1990s, he continues to play shows in venues around the world and release studio albums such as 2012's Home.
