Come enjoy an evening of original music on July 20th at the Glad Cafe in Glasgow - Marina Rolink and Mike McKenzie are sharing a collection of their original songs for friends and music lovers in an intimate setting where the songwriting will be the beating heart of the night.
"Marina Rolink is a Singer Songwriter based in Glasgow, Scotland. Her songs are tender and honest, and host an array of satisfying melodies and musical turns. Drawing influence from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and Tom Waits, her songs are an ode to the human experience and all it comes with. Her latest release 'If/When' is available on all the usual streaming and purchasing platforms, and she is currently in the process of recording an EP to be released this year."
"Mike McKenzie is an award winning singer/songwriter based in Edinburgh. Reminiscent of Luke Sital-Singh, Ben Abraham and Tom Odell, his heartfelt lyrics and melodies are always front and centre in his writing. His work has been featured by Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 and received huge support from Grant Stott, Roddy Hart and Janice Forsyth on BBC Radio Scotland.
"Gorgeous" - Jo Whiley "An outstanding talent" - Jim Gellatly "Glorious and heartwarming" - Horse McDonald"
