Fight for Your Party Rights Hamburg celebrates Christopher Street Day for a whole week in late July/early August. The gay rights festival (a worldwide memorial to the street fight which took place between the New York police and gays in June 1969) includes numerous smaller events culminating in a colorful parade through the streets on the final Saturday and the huge open-air Straßenfest at the Jungfernstieg on Sunday. There are many information points and stands where you can have a snack or quick drink. Go along and enjoy the day! See website for full program.
