Winnipeg, Manitoba-based folk singer/songwriter Ruth Moody is best known as one-third of The Wailin' Jennys. After releasing her debut solo album The Garden in 2010, she proved she could stand alone as a songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist and was acclaimed for her honesty and intimacy. Nominated for a Juno Award, a Western Canadian Music Award and three Canadian Folk Music Awards, the album catapulted her into the Canadian folk scene and brought her music to the world. Having played some of the most prominent festivals including Austin's South by Southwest Music Festiva and Glasgow's Celtic Connections Festival, and toured with the iconic folk acts during the Transatlantic Sessions, Moody has collected an international fan base with her brand of indie folk music.
