After a childhood spent playing in Parisian punk bands, Thomas Fersen moved to the piano bar circuit in his mid-20s - eventually rising up and becoming a critical darling thanks to his husky, world-weary voice, strong melodies and irony-filled lyrics. Since the early 1990s, Fersen has released a slew of increasingly popular records which, more and more, incorporate heavy use of a baritone ukulele--an instrument from which he has grown inseparable.
