R&B vocal group The Whispers was formed in 1963 by twin brothers Walter and Wallace Scott. Originally performing on street corners of Los Angeles and San Francisco, the brothers soon recruited friends to join in their harmonies and caught the attention of a Los Angeles-based independent record label. However, after the group's single "Seems Like I Got to Do Wrong" climbed up the R&B charts into the Top 10, the group signed to Janus Records, a major label of the time, and has since released several hits. Over the decades, The Whispers has offered a consistent mix of covers and original material, which all mark the singers as emotive crooners from a more romantic era.
