When Dimitris Yerasimos first started composing electronic music, he was making runway soundtracks for prominent European fashion designers like Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Yves Saint-Laurent. Once Yerasimos began to tire of the banality of creating music for fashion houses, he struck out on his own and pursued a sound deeply rooted in disco, house and hip-hop. When his first album, Sacrebleu, was released in 1996 under the moniker Dimitri from Paris, France was infatuated with electronic music and Yerasimos' sound was readily accepted by the masses.
