Future of the Left is an alternative rock band from Cardiff, Wales that was formed in 2005 by two members of the famous Welsh noise rock band Mclusky following the break up of the band that same year. Like many bands that formed from the ashes of a previously successful band, Future of the Left managed to successfully ride the wave of the previous band's success and substantial niche fan base. The band's debut album, Curses, was released in 2007 to much critical acclaim, proving to the world that its members transition from the noise rock stylings of Mclusky into a more mainstream alt-rock paradigm has been a success.
