Julia Jacklin is a singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia. Born to a family of school teachers, she found inspiration in female pop stars like Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne and took up classical singing lessons at age 10. After studying at Sydney University she released her first two singles, "Pool Party" and "Coming of Age," to a surprising amount of critical acclaim. The singles catapulted her to international notoriety, earning radio play on BBC and sparking tours across the world. Jacklin signed to Transgressive Records and released her debut album, Don't Let the Kinds Win, in 2016.
