Banda Cuisillos de Arturo Macías, commonly known as Banda Cuisillos, is a Mexican banda group hailing from Cuisillos, Jalisco. Founded in 1987 by Arturo Macías, the band gained recognition for their distinctive stage attire, incorporating Native American costumes as a tribute to their ethnic heritage. Unlike traditional brass bandas, Banda Cuisillos incorporates a piano and electric guitar into some of their songs, adding a unique flavor to their sound. The band's early albums featured a blend of cumbias and baladas, but they eventually shifted their focus towards ballads, which became their signature style. With multiple gold and platinum records, Banda Cuisillos has achieved considerable success throughout their career, and their popularity surged with the release of their album "Mil Heridas" in 2007.
