Colombian musician Silvestre Dangond's brand of vallenato has made him one of the most sought-after stars. A native of Urumita, La Guajira, his musical upbringing helped Dangond develop into a highly-skilled singer and musician. After graduating from high school, he teamed up with musician Ramón López to form a duo. The duo's performances at parties and clubs helped it build a formidable reputation on the club scene. The two went on to release a number of successful albums before breaking up. Dangond dropped his first album as a solo artist in 2013. The record, called La 9a Batalla, topped many album charts. His other albums include Sigo Invicto, El Reencuentro Tour 2016, Gente Valiente and Esto Es Vida.
