Dan Deacon is an eccentric electronic guru of Baltimore, Maryland who is known for his fast-paced electro, seizure-inducing video projections, and position right in the middle of the audience when he plays live. While his beats play on drum machines and computers, Deacon sings into a vocoded microphone - transforming his voice into distorted harmony stacks. Oftentimes, he'll have audience members lift their arms in the air and grab hands with someone across from them to form a tunnel, which he runs through as he sings. His first full length release was Goose On The Loose (2003) which featured sine-waves manipulated by guitar pedals.
