The Omaha Storm Chasers is a minor league baseball team based out of the Omaha suburb of Papillion, Nebraska that competes in the Pacific Coast League. Since the franchise was founded in 1969, it has been the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, making it one of the only Triple-A teams with such a longstanding affiliation with a team in the majors. Having won its first of several division titles in 1970, the team has proven itself as a major force in minor league baseball that is capable of winning games and producing players who'll have respected careers in the big leagues.
