Known as The Modfather, singer/songwriter Paul Weller has been a presence in Great Britain's music scene since 1976. His foray onto the scene was with the punk/mod band The Jam, later moving into a different sound with Style Council. In 1991, he embarked on his solo career, a career that is still going strong to this day. He is revered as an instrumental piece of rock's evolution in the UK, as well as a huge part of the 1970s and 1980s mod revival. His most recent music is a culmination of his many years in the industry, gaining much critical success and accolades, including a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BRIT Awards.
