Since winters on Nantucket are long and harsh, the arrival of spring is cause for rejoice. The island is covered with daffodils in April and with this backdrop of yellow blooms, islanders and tourists come together for a weekend-long celebration. Activities include an Antique & Classic Car Parade (with cars and drivers alike covered in daffodils), a tailgate picnic, musical entertainment and more. All events are free. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, visit the group's Web site for more information.
