Jessica Anne Newham, who performs and releases music under her Betty Who guise, is an Australian singer/songwriter who developed a strong affinity at a young age--self teaching herself the piano and guitar, and writing her first batch of songs at age 14. After moving to the united states in 2007, Newham would go on to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. It was at Berklee where Newham met producer Peter Thomas who suggested blending Newham's structured songwriting with a wistfully antithetic electronic style. This unique sonic aesthetic was encapsulated on her 2013 debut EP, The Movement, and if her current trajectory is any inclination of her musical adeptness, her future is looking bright.
