Evgeny Kissin is a concert pianist from Moscow who rose from a child prodigy to being considered one of the world's greatest living classical pianists. Audiences first became entranced with Kissin in 1984 when, at the age of 12, the young pianist performed both of Frederic Chopin's technically challenging Piano Concertos--a feat that is often left unaccomplished by pianists until well into their adulthood. Kissin has performed with some of the worlds greatest orchestras and conductors as a soloist, and his recordings of solo piano works, particularly those by Chopin, Franz Liszt and his own compatriot Sergei Rachmaninoff stand as some of the more celebrated examples his technical and interpretive skills. Evgeny Kissin remains in constant demand for solo recitals and as a soloist with orchestras throughout the world, and like the public's love and appreciation for the artist's work, his skill and dedication to the instrument shows no signs of waning any time soon.
