The Bamberger Symphoniker, or the Bamberg Symphony is a German orchestra famous for its excellence in classical music. Based in Bamberg, a city in Bavaria, Germany, the Bamberger Symphoniker was created in 1946 by former musicians for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague who were exiled from Czechoslovakia during the German occupation of World War II. The symphony has been housed in the Konzert- und Kongresshalle since 1993, but it is known for its frequent international performances.
