The son of an Argentine folk dancer, Midon was born in New Mexico; but due to premature birth weight, Midon was kept in an incubator without proper eye protection, thus blinding him for life. When he was four, his father began playing drums for Midon, instilling in him a passion for music. He began his career supporting other Latin superstars such as Shakira and Julio Iglesias, abandoning back-up work to focus on his solo career in early 2000s. Midon's music mixes an incredible variety of genres, blending flamenco, jazz, R&B and soul. His talent on a wide variety of instruments and vocal agility have led him to become a venerated musician, touring all over the world with his dynamic solo act.
