Featuring
Best known as one-half of the rock and roll R&B outfit Hall & Oats, Daryl Hall is a singer/songwriter and musician from Pottstown, PA who creates soulful blends of R&B and soft rock music. While attending Temple University and working as a session singer, he joined Tim Moore to form the rock band Gulliver, which released one album before the band dissolved and Hall began to focus on his project with his former school mate, John Oates. Hall & Oates became the best-selling duo in music history during the 1970s, with albums such as Abandoned Luncheonette as well as singles such as "Rich Girl," while the following decade brought the pair international acclaim and several multi-platinum albums including Bigger Than Both of Us and Private Eyes. The 1980s also introduced Hall's first solo release, the critically acclaim Sacred Songs. As he worked as producer and collaborator with several different artists such as Robert Fripp and Arthur Baker, he proceeded with creating his own music as a solo performer and with Hall & Oates. Hall started his Live From Daryl's House webcast in 2008, as an antidote to constant touring and traveling, though he continues to offer live performances in venues and at festivals around the world, including sets at 2008's South by South West and 2010's Bonnaroo festivals.
