The Pittsburgh Penguins are a National League Hockey team, based in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. The Penguins joined the NHL in 1967 as an expansion team. Captained by one of the greatest players of all time, Mario Lemieux, the Penguins won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1990-91 and 1991-92. The Penguins are a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference.
