Boston, Massachusetts-based artist Aoife O'Donovan is a singer/songwriter and musician who sings lead vocals in the progressive bluegrass band Crooked Still. She formed Crooked Still with classmates at the New England Conservatory of Music in 2001, before teaming up with Kristin Andreassen and Ruth Ungar Merenda in 2005 to create the neo-traditional folk act Sometymes Why. O'Donovan eventually released her debut solo record, the Blue Light EP, in 2010 and has since continued to released material with both her groups as well as on her own. She dropped her first full-length effort, Fossils, in 2013.
