Festival De La Bande Dessinée Francophone De Québec
Festival de la Bande Dessinée Francophone de Québec is an extremely popular festival and is a feast for the eyes as well as the mind. It honors French-language comic books from all over the world. Recent festivals have focused on the work of Belgian Jean-Francois Charles, author of the well-known Les Pionniers du Nouveau Monde series, and on Frenchman Turf, who created the La Nef des fous. All kinds of activities are available for adults and children alike and most are free, while some (caricatures, for instance) come at a minimal cost. Held at the Salon international du livre de Québec, the Musée de la Civilisation, Le Cercle, the Bibliothèque Gabrielle-Roy, and the Bibliothèque Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
