Los Angeles-based singer JP Saxe is known for his passionate melodies. Brought up in Toronto, Canada, Saxe is the grandson of award-winning cellist Janos Starker. He studied the cello during the initial years of training before switching to the piano and guitar upon discovering his love for R&B and jazz music. He soon began performing at Toronto's popular haunts, and recording and uploading music online. He caught the attention of American producers and was invited to record material with them. Now based in Los Angeles, he released his first single "Changed" in 2017, followed by "Anyone Else" and "The Few Things." "Same Room" was his first release of 2019, closely followed by his breakout hit with Julia Michaels - "If the World Was Ending." His debut EP Hold It Together was released in 2020.
