The Dreamville festival was founded by Fayetteville, NC-raised rapper J. Cole, with the aim of giving back to the community that first inspired him to pursue music. This one-of-a-kind, multi-stage music event, curated by J. Cole himself, is a harmonious coming-together of local food, culture and art of North Carolina. It aspires to provide a platform for local talent, have a positive impact on the local economy and benefit the Dreamville Foundation and Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy. Its first edition, held in 2018, featured performances by powerhouses like Big Sean, Nelly, 6lack and more.
