During the late 1980s and early 1990s there were few bands as well respected as The Jesus and Mary Chain. The Scottish band's eclectic style of noise pop influenced countless bands that would arise under the Chain's wake. Though the band members went their separate ways in 1999, the group reformed in 2007 and is still considered one of the more respected acts of its generation.
