The dates of this festival vary year to year, since they vary based on when Easter is celebrated. The festival always begins on a Thursday, somewhere between the second week of May and mid-June. This is the city's second-most important festival after the Festival of the Apostle James. In addition to a votive mass, the celebration consists of mini-amusement parks, games and raffles in the Carballeira de Santa Susana street, and concerts and street parties on the Alameda. The quality of the artists is not usually as high as in the Festival of the Apostle, but there are usually performances by various Spanish groups and one or two internationally known artist.
